Hamilton Township needed a way to manage the townships assets, organize documentation, and be able to communicate township issues and resources to the 90,000+ residents as well as keep all departments up to date with the latest datasets. McMahon’s solution, after a needs analysis, was to build a web-based GIS for that is based on a combination of AutoDesk MapGuide and Microsoft ASP.NET.
Customized specifically for Hamilton Township and the needs of the staff, Hamilton’s iGIS application is completely flexible and expandable for future modifications, while ensuring an extremely user-friendly experience. Primarily based on parcels, roadway data and aerials, Our solution includes Snow Plow Management, which is integrated with GPS allowing the staff and residents to view the current locations of plows as well as which roads have been salted and/or plowed. The system also includes a Waste-Water Management Module allowing for flow analysis, criteria reporting, videos, images, etc. and is directly integrated with an ArcIMS work-order management system as well as a module to allow the automation and electronic tracking of permits and issues throughout the township.
